Gregory Davenport, DHSc., PA-C
Greg Davenport (DHSc., PA-C) believes in “service through medicine.” Davenport has over 40 years of professional experience providing medical care in underserved populations and areas. Davenport began his career in the military, serving for nine years in Combat Casualty Care and as a Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape, and personnel recovery specialist. In 1991, he left the military to attend PA education at the University of Washington.
His medical and survival background was the foundation that led him to humanitarian service. In that role, he has led medical teams into areas of medical insecurity, combat, and disaster. This service has recently taken him to Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Haiti, India, Nepal, and Vanuatu, and twice to frontline operations in Mosul, Iraq, during its liberation from ISIS. In addition, he has written six books on his concept of wilderness survival and related medical concepts, provided leadership, team building, survival, and medical training to multiple corporate and government agencies in the U.S. and abroad, and hosted several televised adventure shows.
Davenport has a Doctorate in Health Science with a concentration in Leadership and Organizational Behavior, a master’s degree in PA Medicine with a concentration in Wilderness and Emergency Medicine, a PA Certificate focused on Rural Primary Care, and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Search and Survival Rescue. Lastly, Davenport has built three physician assistant programs through medical and regional accreditation and two Doctor of Medical Science degrees through regional accreditation, and he created the only emergency management and global health concentration (EMGH) available to DMSc students.
